Regulatory updates

6/3/2022  Several regulatory compliance and implementation assistance resources for emergency power generator UST systems are now available on the Office of Underground Storage Tanks (OUST) web site.

9/27/2022 The Illinois Office of the State Fire Marshall (OSFM) proposed rulemaking language is scheduled to be published in the Illinois Register this Friday, September 23rd. It will also be made available on the OSFM’s website at that time, and available to the public. The 45-day public comment period for the UST rules will begin on the day the proposed rules are published in the Illinois Register, which as of now will be Friday. Click here to view the OSFM’s website with the proposed changes for your reference.

2/15/2023  The CAL CUPA Project Team reviewed and analyzed the responses and validated that 75% of the CUPAs DO NOT require boundary edits.

The remaining 25% require various levels of boundary updates. Over the next several weeks, the Project Team will engage with the CUPAs to facilitate the required edits.

Please review the following list as CUPAs identified for boundary update activities, including a Boundary Update Kickoff, Web Application Boundary Edit Training, Edit Support Office Hours, and follow up with individual CUPAs as needed.
