Tank Trouble Tuesday
A fueling facility in Tanknology’s Midwest region requested a TankCam inspection of a 4,000 gallon fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held mid-grade unleaded.
The TankCam inspection showed discoloration throughout the tank. Residue and flaking residue were observed in tank along with sludge and debris. The inspection also showed streaking from multiple bungs and riser pipes along with loose fibers along the center seam of the tank.

A fueling facility in Tanknology’s Ohio Valley region requested a TankCam inspection of a 10,000 gallon fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held premium unleaded.
The TankCam inspection revealed corrosion on the ball valve riser. Multiple layers of liquid were seen in the bottom of tank and an unknown liquid was observed seeping from the side of tank. Condensation was observed on the tank ceiling.
